| Shenzhen Customs provides site clearance service to exhibits for CHTF
|
| Shenzhen Customs'' Site Service Office has been making preparations for the 7th China Hi-tech Fair lately. The office plans to take more effective supervisory measures to improve customs clearance efficiency for goods imported for the 7th China Hi-tech Fair. Instead of continuing the traditional model of temporary duty, it is going to set up a permanent office at China Hi-tech Fair Exhibition Center to provide domestic and international exhibitors with more convenient entry-exit clearance service. According to the head of Site Service Office of Shenzhen Customs, although the 7th China Hi-tech Fair is still 2 months away, the Site Service Office has already started its preparations for the event, in the hope of "cleaning the window" for the largest fair in Shenzhen this year. It is learnt that, the 7th China Hi-tech Fair, which has been moved officially to Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center, will see a substantial increase in the number of exhibitors and exhibits, posing a critical challenge to the supervisory work of the customs house on the exhibits. In view of this, Shenzhen Customs Site Service Office is planning to set up a set of new operation codes to provide interim imported exhibits with one-stop clearance service, including approval, customs declaration, supervision and exit of exhibits, as well as taxation of exhibits sold locally. During the fair, the Site Service Office will adopt a "5+2 days" workday system and set up hot lines for consultations. In addition, it will provide clearance appointment, advance clearance and 24-hour inspection appointment service, allowing "zero-obstacle" clearance for exhibits. |
