【Staff dispatch】For the first time, Hitachi Group is going to send a delegation to the 7th China Hi-tech Fair scheduled to open in Shenzhen in October. It also plans to hold a work conference of senior executives of over 100 affiliates in China, according to Minoru Tsukada, Hitachi''s general representative in China at an interview with mayor Xu Zongheng. Mayor Xu welcomed Hitachi Group''s decision to send the delegation to CHTF.

Founded in 1910, Hitachi Group is a world-famous electronic component and industrial equipment manufacturer. It ranked No.23 among the Global 500 in 2004. Currently, its investments in Shenzhen include Shenzhen SEG Hitachi Color Display Devices Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Hitachi SEG Display Co., Ltd., Hitachi Global Storage Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Mass Storage Device Co., Ltd. and a USD500 million project under construction-"mega hard disk manufacturing center".

Xu Zongheng first welcomed Mr. Tsukada and his delegation and thanked Hitachi Group for its contribution to the economic development of Shenzhen over the years. After 2 decades of development, Shenzhen now enjoys a well-established market economic structure, industrial development environment, urban infrastructures and government service system and is one of the first choices of foreign investors in China, said mayor Xu. Then he pledged that Shenzhen would continue to expand its opening-up program and try to attract more transnational companies with a more active posture, higher quality service and better business environment. He said that the city will continue to support the development of foreign companies including Hitachi Group in Shenzhen.
