In 2003, WEEE & RoHS published by European Union have meticulous regulations on lead criteria. In China, deliberations on has been completed recently. Ministry of Information Industry already completed necessary internal procedures and is in the process of signing with other ministries. Meanwhile, regulations-requiring pollution prevention and clean up have already been developed and criteria established. It is definite that six hazardous substances called out in the China RoHS are prohibited in electronics & information products. Chinese electronics manufacturers cannot avoid this worldwide trend; therefore, great interest and attention will be paid on relevant lead-free technologies & criteria.

IPC & CCEC will hold “International Lead-Free Manufacturing Technology Seminar 2005” in conjunction with China Hi-Tech Fair 2005 ELEXCON, to provide a technology press & communication platform for global electronics manufacturing companies.
